Fsmart: Full-Chain Manufacturing of Solar Cameras – From SMT to Shipment

I. Manufacturing Base and Independent R&D Capabilities

Shenzhen Fushitongda Technology Co., Ltd. (Fsmart), a technology-focused enterprise integrating R&D, independent production, and global sales in the solar-powered smart security sector. The company operates an independent R&D and manufacturing base in Shenzhen, staffed by a R&D team of nearly 200 professionals with technical expertise spanning hardware structure design, embedded software development, solar power efficiency optimization, and 4G/WiFi communication adaptation.

Fsmart's competitive edge lies in independent R&D. Rather than adopting off-the-shelf solutions, the company performs deep customization for the A20 and B20 series: the BMS protection board is custom-developed for the battery specifications and power consumption characteristics, delivering triple hardware-level protection (overcharge, over-discharge, over-temperature); 4G and WiFi dual antennas are independently designed to address co-channel interference through structural layout and frequency band avoidance; low-power algorithms are continuously optimized by the embedded software team to balance endurance and response speed; and waterproof sealing structures are all independently designed with dedicated optimization for long-term outdoor reliability.

The manufacturing base maintains end-to-end independent production capacity from SMT placement and battery component processing to complete system assembly and testing. All critical processes are completed in-house, eliminating reliance on external contract manufacturers and ensuring full control over quality and delivery lead times, with an annual delivery capacity exceeding one million units.

II. SMT Placement Workshop: The First Critical Stage of Precision Manufacturing

SMT (Surface Mount Technology) is the critical process for manufacturing the core PCBAs of the A20 and B20 series surveillance cameras.

Fsmart's SMT production line is equipped with the following core equipment:
Solder Paste Printer: Precisely applies solder paste onto PCB pads.
High-Speed Pick-and-Place Machine: Rapidly mounts electronic components (chips, capacitors, resistors, etc.) onto PCB surfaces.
Reflow Oven: Melts solder paste through hot air heating to securely bond components to the PCB.
AOI (Automated Optical Inspection): Uses high-resolution cameras and computer vision technology to automatically inspect soldering quality, precisely identifying microscopic defects such as cold joints, shorts, and component misalignment.
Dual Inspection (Automated + Manual) : After AOI completes 100% full inspection, quality inspectors perform manual visual sampling inspection on each batch, focusing on edge solder joints and component polarity that AOI may find challenging to identify.

This dual verification ensures that every PCBA meets the required soldering quality standards before proceeding.

III. Battery Component Processing Area: From Cells to Battery Packs

The battery is the core energy storage unit of a solar camera, and its quality directly determines the endurance and service life of the A20 and B20 series.

The battery component processing area is equipped with the following equipment:
Cell Sorting and Grading Cabinet: Tests and pairs incoming cells by capacity and internal resistance—capacity deviation controlled within ±2% and internal resistance deviation within ±5mΩ within the same group; cells exceeding these tolerances are rejected.
Laser Spot Welding Machine: Welds paired cells to nickel strips to form battery packs, ensuring connection resistance approaches zero.
BMS Test Station: Conducts 48-hour charge/discharge cycle validation on custom-developed BMS protection boards, simulating the typical usage pattern of "nighttime discharge + daytime solar recharge".
Dual Inspection (Automated + Manual) : After the sorting cabinet automatically generates cell data reports, manual review identifies outliers; after spot welding, manual pull strength sampling verifies weld integrity; after the BMS test station completes automated validation, engineers review the trigger data for all three protection mechanisms (overcharge, over-discharge, over-temperature).

IV. Complete System Assembly Line: From Components to Finished Products
After SMT placement and battery processing are completed, all components proceed to the complete system assembly line for final assembly of the A20 and B20 series:
Automated Assembly Line: Completes optical module installation, sealing structure assembly, screw fastening, and other processes.
Automatic Screw Fastening Machine: Fastens enclosure screws with precise torque to ensure sealing consistency.
Lens Calibration System: Performs high-precision optical calibration on camera modules.
Dual Inspection (Automated + Manual) : After automated assembly, quality inspectors perform visual inspection (enclosure scratches, gap uniformity) and lens cleanliness inspection, ensuring that every A20 and B20 series unit possesses complete hardware quality before entering the testing phase.

V. Testing Equipment and Inspection System: 100% Automated Inspection + Manual Verification

All A20 and B20 series products must pass multi-dimensional testing and validation before shipment. The testing system covers waterproofing, endurance, RF, and comprehensive functionality, implementing a dual quality control standard of 100% automated inspection + manual verification.
Waterproof Testing: Performed in accordance with IEC 60529:2013 (Chinese equivalent standard GB/T 4208-2017). Equipped with IPX6 water jet test equipment (12.5mm nozzle, 100 L/min flow rate, 3-meter distance, minimum 3-minute spray), IPX7 immersion test tank (1-meter depth, 30-minute immersion), air tightness tester (compressed air leak detection), thermal shock test chamber (-40℃ to +85℃ rapid cycling, 50 cycles), and salt spray test chamber (5% NaCl solution, 35℃ continuous spray for 96 hours). The air tightness tester performs 100% inspection on every unit, followed by manual disassembly and inspection of sample units to visually confirm no water ingress or corrosion.
Endurance Testing: Equipped with programmable DC power supplies, multi-channel data loggers, and battery charge/discharge aging cabinets. Under simulated overcast conditions (200-500 lux), the A20 and B20 series consistently demonstrate a stable operating duration of 14+ days. Data loggers automatically generate discharge curves for each unit, with engineers reviewing each curve individually to identify abnormal fluctuations.
RF Testing: Equipped with spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, and a shielded room to verify 4G and WiFi dual-mode signal transmit power, signal-to-noise ratio, and antenna isolation for the A20 and B20 series (isolation requirement ≥20dB). After automated report generation, RF engineers manually interpret key metrics and conduct secondary retesting on marginal samples.
Comprehensive Functional Testing: Covers image quality (lens free of fogging, clear image), communication functions (4G/WiFi connectivity normal), power system (solar charging and battery supply normal), PIR sensing (infrared wake-up normal), and storage/playback functions. After each unit completes automated functional testing, quality inspectors perform manual real-scenario simulation—physically triggering PIR, viewing live video, and playing back recordings to confirm user-experience-level performance.

VI. Quality Control System

The factory implements a four-tier quality control system: Incoming Quality Control (IQC) subjects all incoming electronic components, cells, and enclosures to dimensional measurement, electrical parameter testing, and visual inspection; In-Process Quality Control (IPQC) performs AOI full inspection plus manual sampling after SMT placement, with cross-inspection at critical assembly stations; Final Quality Control (FQC) has an independent quality team perform final function confirmation on every A20 and B20 series unit; Outgoing Quality Control (OQC) conducts random sampling of finished batches per AQL sampling standards—shipment only upon passing.

VII. From R&D to Manufacturing, Full-Chain Independent Control

Fsamrt’s A20 and B20 series solar 4G surveillance cameras—independently developed by nearly 200 engineers, manufactured end-to-end in our own factory, and validated through dual 100% automated inspection and manual verification—from Shenzhen to the global market. The company has established localized sales and service stations in key global markets, covering the complete service chain from pre-sales consultation to post-sales operation and maintenance.
